Starting on Oct. 3, the Maurice M. Pine Free Public Library will be open on Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. The library was closed on Sundays throughout the summer, as it is every year. Despite funding cuts for 2010, the mayor and council unanimously allocated $8,000 to the library for the purpose of restoring Sunday hours this fall.
