1) The Fair Lawn Board of Education meets Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Room 19 of Edison School.

Despite the agreement reached recently by the negotiating teams of the Board of Ed and the Fair Lawn Education Association, there will not be a final vote made on the contract at Thursday's meeting.

2) The Fair Lawn Green Team meets Thursday at 7 p.m. in Room B-5, on the lower level of Borough Hall. 

At last month's meeting, the Green Team discussed a stormwater management tax plan.

3)Thursday is the final day of the River Road Improvement Corporation's Holiday Happenings promotion.

For one last day, customers at the 24 participating River Road District restaurants and businesses receive 15 percent off products and services and are eligible to win other prizes by filling out an entry form.

4) The Library is hosting a Reader's Roundtable Holiday Party Thursday at 2 p.m. All past, present and interested future members are invited. Please bring a favorite poem to share with the group. Refreshments will be served.

5) Thursday is Patch Pick'Em time. Make your selections for the Week 15 games and compete against fantasy football experts Stu Pace, Steve Brown and Zak Koeske.

On the year, Stu still sits atop the season standings.
