5 Things Thursday: "Rent"

Today's top Fair Lawn events and tips

"Five Things" is a daily Patch feature where we give you Fair Lawn's top five tips and events for each day of the week. Have a suggestion for a "Five Things" item? E-mail me at zak.koeske@patch.com.

1. The One Dream Productions performance of "Rent" opens at 8 p.m. tonight at the Fair Lawn Community Center and runs through Sunday. Tickets are $20. Do we have any "Rent" fans out there? Let me know your favorite number from the musical on Twitter, @FairLawnPatch.

2. If "Rent" isn't your thing and you'd rather do something sporty at the Community Center, head over at 7:30 p.m. for the Badminton Club. It's free, but you have to bring your own equipment. Anyone have an extra shuttlecock?

3. If you haven't checked out the Fair Lawn Art Association Group Show on display at the Library's Pine Gallery, stop by any time tomorrow. Unfortunately, extended library hours don't begin for another few Thursdays, so you can't stay past 6.

4. Seniors can get their blood pumping early tomorrow at the Fair Lawn Senior Center's thrice weekly morning Seniorcize at 8:30 a.m.

5. Table Tennis is going from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center. I'm not sure, but I think this might be a highlight from one of last week's matches.
