5 Things Wednesday: New FLPD Officers Sworn In

Today's top local events and tips

"Five Things" is a daily Patch feature where we give you Fair Lawn's top five tips and events for each day of the week. Have a suggestion for a "Five Things" item? E-mail me at zak.koeske@patch.com.

1) Two new officers were sworn in to the Fair Lawn Police Department at Tuesday night's council meeting. Congratulations and welcome to Juan Rodriguez and Luke Hintzen, who bring current force levels to 56.

2) All Fair Lawn Schools have an early dismissal Wednesday in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday.

3) The Senior Center offers Tai Chi Classes Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

4) Enjoy Thanksgiving Eve at Jalapenos Mexican Grille in Glen Rock. Specials include Happy Hour prices all day on Draft Beer and $1 Jose Cuervo shots all night long.

5) Look for the Patch Pick'Em Wednesday night, instead of Thursday this week. We went with a Thursday night game this week, so I wanted to release the picks earlier than usual. Councilman-elect John Cosgrove will serve as a guest picker for Week 12.

This week's games are as follows:

San Francisco 49ers (9-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (7-3)

Chicago Bears (6-4) @ Oakland Raiders (6-4)

New York Giants (6-4) @ New Orleans Saints (7-3)
