A Christmas Scowl, as Two Men Are Scammed on Craigslist, Police Say

On Christmas Eve two Fair Lawn residents purchased fraudulent concert tickets, $125 each, from a Craigslist seller, police said.

All two Fair Lawn men wanted was to spend this coming New Years Day at Dayglow, the self-proclaimed “world’s largest paint party,” on New York’s Pier 94. But they were disappointed to discover the tickets they purchased from the same Craigslist vendor, each for $125, granted them access to last year’s venue.

Both men, friends in their twenties, met the vendor at different locations to make the transaction, one in Glen Rock, the other in Rutherford.

Fortunately, the two men saved themselves a trip to the city. One contacted Ticketfly, who notified them of the bad news--the tickets were for last year's show.
