Fair Lawn Retro Fitness Featured on Undercover Boss

A contemptuous employee of Retro Fitness in Fair Lawn featured prominently on Friday's episode of the CBS television show, "Undercover Boss."

Even the zero enrollment fee and two months free that Retro Fitness in Fair Lawn is currently offering new members might be a tough sell after prospective customers watched Friday night's episode of "Undercover Boss."

The CBS reality television series that sends disguised senior executives undercover as entry-level workers in their own companies visited the Fair Lawn Retro location with CEO Eric Casaburi last month for an episode about the fitness center franchise.

Casaburi, who dressed in a shaggy brown wig and dyed beard while posing as new hire Barry Goshe, was less than thrilled with Fair Lawn Retro Front Desk Associate Jacqueline Colucci, whom the show describes as "the worst employee he's ever seen."

While showing Casaburi the lay of the Retro land, Colucci, a New Milford native and student at Montclair State University, speaks disdainfully of gym patrons and says she spends much of her time at work taking "selfies" on her phone.

"Members," she said. "They're literally stupid. They don't know anything," before going on an expletive-laced rant about wanting to punch Retro patrons in the face.

In an episode tease on CBS' website, Colucci is described as, "an employee who hates customers and fails to follow directions," which in turn "leads to one of the biggest reveals ever" in the show's four-year history.

The show aired on CBS at 8 p.m.
