Fair Lawn Schools Delayed Due to Inclement Weather

Fair Lawn Public Schools will have open at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday due to inclement weather.

The snow that has blanketed the area Monday will delay Fair Lawn Public Schools Tuesday, Board of Education president Michael Rosenberg said.

Students should report Tuesday at 9:35 a.m., according to a notice on the school disrtict's website. Staff are expected to arrive 10 minutes earlier, by 9:25 a.m.

Edison's AM Kindergarten and half-day pre-K students will dismiss at their regular times, the notice states. PM Kindergarten will begin at its normal time.

As for local private schools, St. Anne School will have a one-hour delay and open at 9:20 a.m., according to its website, and the Van Riper Ellis Christian School will open at 10 a.m. due to the hazardous roads. Van Riper Ellis will have no before care program, an announcement posted on Patch states.

Bergen County is under a National Weather Service winter weather advisory until 10 a.m. Tuesday. Accumulation of 3 to 5 inches of snow is anticipated.
