Cutters Hang on Against Passaic for First Win of Season

Fair Lawn High School played Passaic High School on Saturday in the 7th Annual FLHS Athletic Hall of Fame Game.

Fair Lawn prevailed 14-7- in a defensive slugfest on Saturday against Passaic in the 7th annual FLHS Athletic Hall of Fame Game.

Senior quarterback Kevin Osback and senior fullback Franklyn Ramirez each ran in a score and junior kicker Ari Moslavi added two extra points to round out the Cutters' scoring for the day.

On defense, senior linebacker Pete Danko, junior linebacker Thomas Koike and senior safety George Alexandris each had interceptions and Nick Tsinkelis recorded a sack and recovered a fumble.

Fair Lawn AD needs to do the right thing and forfit the game against Don Bosco. Someone will get hurt and there is no chance of FL wining this game.

while i normally would never support forfitting it maybe the only way to put an end to this problem. last week kearny forfeited a game to i believe st joes because they knew they had no chance and players were likely to get hurt.
while i think it is cool to see local schools gain natiional attention they should be playing schools at the same competition level. these private schools recruit kids have great facilities and are basically trained like colllege football players. bosco can schedule games against bc, st joes, wayne hills, other local schools who can make it somewhat competitive and out of state competition. i know its probably not boscos fault this is a scheduled game, but they have no right playing programs like FL.
if fair lawn and bosco were playing teams closer to their ability this week it would be much better for both programs
