Historic Garretson Forge and Farm Celebrates Spring Festival

Learn a fun history lesson and enjoy some tasty food on Saturday.

The historic Garretson Forge and Farm is holding its annual Spring Festival Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The festival, now in its 38th year, will feature a variety of attractions, including Revolutionary War re-enactors, a yarn spinning demonstration and an open hearth cooking demonstration by chef and former Patch columnist Julia Enerson

Admission to the grounds and most activities are by donation, and all proceeds go toward furthering the Garretson's mission of sharing the area's history and providing fresh produce to local food pantries.

Garretson Forge and Farm is a pre-revolutionary Dutch farm museum located at 4-02 River Road and owned by Bergen County. It is officially listed on the New Jersey State and United States National Register of Historic Places.
