Videographer Wayne Robbins spent last Monday evening at the Community Center for the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce's Fourth Annual Taste of Our Town event, where guests can sample an assortment of local cuisine at a reasonable price.

He produced three videos from the epicurean extravaganza -- the Chamber had their best turnout ever -- that include interviews and tasty visuals of the night's cuisine.

Resident rank-orderer Cornell Christanson also attended the Taste, and came away with his top five dishes.

They are, in order:

1. Ribs from Lucky's Steak Plate

2. Chicken Sage from Sage Restaurant

3. Brown Rice from Caputo's Catering

4. Beef Meatball from A Family Affair

5. Chicken Wings from The Dutch House

"The event really missed Picnic" said Christianson, referring to the acclaimed Radburn eatery that closed last month. "Having their outstanding dishes really made a difference the past two years."

Christianson also lamented the absence of the Radburn Deli and Daniella's Track Side Grille, which both also closed in recent months.

This year's participating restaurants included:

Proceeds from the event benefit the Fair Lawn food pantry.

Please note the top two restaurants are new restaurants to Fair Lawn - Lucky's and Sage. We may have lost Picnic and others but we gained these two great restaurants.
