What a send-off! In tribute to retiring Emergency Management Coordinator Ira Marks, borough employees, residents and friends lip-synced mega-hit "Call Me Maybe."

Filmed over a period of three weeks – with tapings during the day and at night in various Fair Lawn locales – it's pretty clear there's a lot of love for Ira.

Inside Fair Lawn's Wayne Robbins produced the Carly Rae Jepson-inspired gem, along with Borough Manager Tom Metzler and Human Service's Liz Twiggs.

You absolutely must check the video out!

Who knew such raw - untapped talent existed right here in Fair Lawn?
Best of luck to you Ira - and when you're sitting around the house with nothing to do... Call us, maybe?

While i hear of fiscal crisis, budget woes and searches for innovative ways to scrimp, and save monies..
I must question why our employees are being paid to dance and lip sync

I have a feeling this might be just my first reply.....@SpareMe.....none were paid, all volunteers, and nothing was taped during working hours.

Mayor Goldie Wilson would approve of this video if it used the music of Marvin Berry and the Starlighters. Since it doesn't, I will use this space to express my outrage at borough employees and VOLUNTEERS taking 30 seconds out of their day to honor a long-time colleague. Such shenanigans would never be tolerated in a Goldie Wilson administration!

Vote Goldie Wilson for Mayor! I'm gonna clean up this town!

My fellow Romans would accept such frivolity ,theyre used to Nero fiddling while the city burned

It's nice to see a nice send off to a nice person, obviously Mr Marks is a well liked person. But judging from what I see, hear, read, there's a need for better and equal treatment. Life is too short, treat everyone equally!

@Goldie, remember that sarcasm about 30 seconds when you get a complaint about Employees or Cops taking a minute to rest from their hard and tedious day....

Hi all...just needed to say thanks to all of those that have responded in such a positive way to Ira's video......can't believe the number of views - many hundreds.

Liz had worked long & hard in getting the Actors together, got very creative in what the spots would look like, and got the schedule just right for the tapings.

Our semi leading man, Tom, well, what could you say ( I'm sure someone will say something ), he should get one of those gold statues.

It was a fun project - and the main thing is - Ira and his family loved it, and they're still enjoying it - Good Luck Ira.

nice video wayne, very funny
i hope all these negative commenters never take a quick coffee break or talk to co workers during their office hours.
im sure your familiar enough with patch to realize these nuts will post negative comments on ANY article. unfortunatly negative people without much real social interaction spend more time on the computer commenting than positive people who socialize in the real world.
keep up the good work. good luck ira thanks for everything you did for FL

Very clever having Tom turn up at end of every scene and answering the phone. Wayne, I think it's the best video you ever made.
