'Green Movies at the Library' Kicks Off This Weekend
The high school's Environmental Club is hosting a series of environmental-themed films, or Green Movies, at the library over the next few weeks.
In recognition of Earth Day, the Fair Lawn High School Environmental Club is sponsoring a series of three environmental-themed films at the library.
The first movie, "Food, Inc.," will be shown this Saturday, April 21 at 2:30 p.m. in the library's meeting room. Admission is free and snacks will be sold to benefit the Environmental Club.
"Food, Inc." is a documentary that takes viewers behind the veil of the corporate American food industry, exposing surprising realities that are often hidden from the typical consumer.
The film features interviews from acclaimed authors Eric Schlosser, Michael Pollan and progressive food entrepreneurs like Stonyfield's Gary Hirshberg and Polyface Farms' Joel Salatin.
