Local Singer/Songwriter Returns Home for Saturday Night Performance

Clare Cooper, a 1974 graduate of Fair Lawn High School, who is a performer and director of musical theater in Manhattan will be performing on Saturday at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center/Congregation B'nai Israel.

Acclaimed performer/director and Fair Lawn native Clare Cooper will return home Saturday for a night of music and entertainment at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center/Congregation B'nai Israel.

Cooper, a 1974 Fair Lawn High School graduate whose bona fides include being the musical director for off-Broadway hit "Tony N' Tina's Wedding" and assistant musical director for "Memphis," will perform a combination of original music and old favorites.

If you can't make it Saturday night, you can catch Cooper every Tuesday and Thursday night at Don't Tell Mama, a piano/cabaret bar in New York City.

Tickets for Cooper's show, which begins at 7:30 p.m., are $18 in advance or $25 at the door. Coffee/Tea and desserts will be provided, and you can bring your own wine, as long as it's kosher.
