Limited Bergen, Pascack Valley Rail Line Service to Start Monday
NJ Transit announces new discounted ferry service between Hoboken and Midtown Manhattan.
Rail service on three NJ Transit lines will resume some operations Monday, more than 10 days after Sandy crippled much of the region's transportation network.
Limited service on the Bergen and Pascack Valley lines will be restored Monday, the transit agency announced Saturday night. In addition, limited service from High Bridge to Newark on the Raritan Valley Line will be restored.
Train schedules will be available at njtransit.com, the agency said.
The agency said a new discounted ferry service will also begin between Hoboken and Pier 79 in Midtown Manhattan, a move designed to ease congestion at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Free NY Waterway shuttle busses are available for ferry riders. Details are available at nywaterway.com.
Roundtrip tickets for the new service will cost $10 and be available from at a special ticket booth at Hoboken Terminal on Monday.

NO INSULT - just a giggle. I think he did one the best jobs possible. and his remark about voter fraud WHILE IN HOBOKEN was priceless!

Glad the Pascack line is back running through Westwood. But I must admit, living just a "stone's throw" from the tracks, it sure has been a quiet 10 days. I saw the test train running back-and-forth on Friday so I figured it wouldn't be long until service was restored.

Understood, I live right across the tracks in Woodcliff Lake. The only time I really am bothered by the sound is on the weekends, when the train blows right by us—as it does Teterboro—for some reason, they never even tried weekend service at our stops.
That test train on Friday was welcome—it has been expensive renting cars!
(But you are right—no missed TV dialogue the last 10 days! <g>)

The running motion. When you run, it's the ball of your feet that matters most. Your heels don't even touch the ground most of your time. So make sure that you wear a pair of shoes that gives you enough Nike Shox Feminino Rápido grip at the balls of your feet.
