What's Your Favorite Bar in Fair Lawn?
Vote for your local favorite in our Readers’ Choice 2012 poll.
Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows bars to vote for the best bar in Fair Lawn.
To start, voting options are limited to previously nominated businesses. But if you'd like to have a business added, just let me know in the comments and I'll add it to the list.
Voting runs until Aug. 17 and winners will be announced the following week on Aug. 24.
Thanks in advance for your participation.

Dutch House Hands down. Great crowd, long standing history, and Dave Drahousal is a true community supporter throughout the year.

jj's ! great food and great specials. theres no better place in town to catch a game. NFL package on sunday you can watch ANY game you want on multiple HD tv's. also great food and drink specials during games.
i like dutch but im spending a lot more money if i spend the day there, cant beat jj's dollar drafts. please note im a little bias because i tend to only go to bars to watch sporting event. both jj's and dutch house are great FL establishments

Dutch House could be a great bar, but they serve by far the worst beer in the area. Am served skunky beer far too often. Hoping they get onboard with the microbrew trend and add a few selections which would make this place a great bar.

What about the AC?

This made me think a little more than I wanted to so early in the morning! Overall I am saying the Dutch simply because of the alfresco dining/drinking, no other bar/pub in town has this option, however in the winter months the Dutch is crowded, cramped and the there is always a wait for the mens room (one of the reasons I am so happy to be a dude is so I dont have to wait to do my "business") so I defer to the AC in the colder months, however overall enjoyment all year long has to go to the Dutch due to better menu and outdoor accomodations.

If it was still the cool little-known bar when Joe Fahey owned it and my husband was behind the bar (along with John Cosgrove sometimes...), I'd add Sel-Rite. Now I understand it's just plain scary.

Hey Jules,
I appreciate the feedback.. We have had a few problems with the draft this summer due to the high temperatures we have had. We are in the process of remedying the situation. As for the microbrews on tap, I have tried a few on tap and they rarely sell. The fair lawn area is a bud and bud light market. I enjoy the microbrews as well, and we do have them from time to time. Again, thanks for the feedback, always looking to improve the Dutch House.

I have to honestly say JJ's by a long shot. The brew on tap has been fresh every time I've had it (very important), the food is delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful, and they always broadcast the best games on their high definition tv screens. The service is the best too. If you need any updates, check it out. I always have a great time when I go there.
