Readers' Choice: Day Care

Vote in the poll and/or tell us your thoughts in the comments

Patch kicked off its new “Readers' Choice” feature last week where we readers vote on their favorite local businesses within a specific select category each week.

Last week, readers selected Giovanni's Deli as Fair Lawn's favorite Italian Restaurant. This week we're searching for the best local day care.

While we came up with the initial list below, we're asking you to post any day care centers we might have missed in the comments. We'll update the poll to reflect your tastes.

Voting closes at 9 a.m. Friday. Ties are broken based on the most positive comments below and most positive reviews on Patch Places. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

Here are our challengers:

  • What's your favorite day care center in Fair Lawn?

Several of the options are not Day Cares they are Nursery Preschools and if you are going to include preschools Our Savior Lutheran Nursery school is the best!!!!

The program that Quality Ed Pre School offers is terrific. I currently have my third child in the program, and I wouldn't dare send her elsewhere. Miss Sue and Miss Trish are wonderful teachers. They seemlessly blend education and fun and the kids have a blast while learning. With half day kindergarten in the schools, the fundamentals the kids get here are even that much more important. I can't speak highly enough about the program.

Quality Ed Preschool is a wonderful place! Both of my children went there and had a fabulous experience. Miss Trish and Miss Sue taught them to love learning and both of them have carried that over to elementary school (5th and 1st graders now). I highly recommend Quality Ed to everyone :)

Quality Education Preschool has my vote. My oldest son is in their 4's class and he has learned so much not only about the Abc's but about friendship and kindness. My youngest will be 3 in September and he' already registered to attend Quality Education. I couldn't imagine trusting my children's first years of education with anyone other than Ms. Trish or Ms. Sue. I recommend them without hesitation.

FYI: I visited 4 of these schools today. I found out that only Rainbow Academy knew about this poll and told the parents; so you probably haven't heard from parents from other schools yet.

Rainbow Academy is my vote! We did indeed hear about the poll and were eagar to help the center get the recognition it deserves. We waited patiently for the center to open and it was worth the wait! Our son loves it he is in the infant room and smiles as soon as we enter the room. All the staff is so loving and really care about each child! He even comes home with the nicest little art projects that hang all over my office! Good job Rainbow this would truly be a reward for all the work you put in to create quality care!

Rainbow Academy is Wonderful. Before deciding on Rainbow Academy I must have looked at 6 other preschools, all of which were closer to our home. The staff and facility are Amazing!!! They all went above & beyond to make my son feel safe & happy. It is so worth our 15-20 minute drive. There is no preschool better in my eyes.

My vote goes to the wonderful folks and facility at Rainbow Academy. They have been attentive and caring from day one, helping us feel like our son is the only student there even though it's obvious his friends get just as much attention and care. They've even joined the local autism walk to help us raise funds for a cure!
