This holiday season the Fair Lawn Recycling Center has joined forces with Second Chance Toys, a non profit organization that rescues and recycles gently used plastic toys for children in need.

Rather than tossing out the toys your child has outgrown, you can drop them off at the recycling center where they'll be provided to Second Chance Toys and distributed to local community organizations.

Donated toys must meet the following requirements:

• Must be clean
• Must be plastic only
• Have no small or missing parts (such as fit through a toilet paper roll)
• Must be in working condition (i.e. Include working batteries if the toy requires them)

This is a drop-off program only, so the Recycling Division will not collect these items at the curb. The deadline for dropping off toys at the Recycling Center is Monday, Dec. 17.
