Drawings by 8-year-old Elana Kavesh will be featured in the front display case at the Fair Lawn public library this month.

Kavesh, a Fair Lawn second grader with a natural love of drawing, began taking art lessons at age 7.

While her parents describe their budding artist as "a bit shy," Elana's artwork would be best described as bold, with a preference for vivid purples and yellows. She enjoys drawing animals and works in a variety of mediums, including colored pencil, paints and crayon.

When she's not drawing, Elana enjoys dancing and playing soccer.
