St. Anne Stages Presents Jersey-Centric Musical for Sandy Victims

St. Anne Stages will kick off a series of six performances of its original production, "Jersey Sings: Raising Our Voices to Lend a Hand," on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

St. Anne Stages is "Going Jersey" for its annual Spring Show this year.

The local theater company's original production, "Jersey Sings: Raising Our Voices to Lend a Hand," a mix of songs by New Jersey-born artists from Sinatra to Springsteen, opens this weekend.

Proceeds from the show's six performances will go to aid local Superstorm Sandy victims, namely a mobile home park in Moonachie whose residents lost everything in the storm.

"Jersey Sings" opens Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Community Center, with additional performances scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m., and next Thursday and Friday, May 2 and 3, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and children under 11.
