U.S. Steve Rothman (D-9), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, hosted a “cup of coffee” with constituents at the Land and Sea Restaurant in his hometown of Fair Lawn on Monday. Rothman outlined his views on a Republican budget plan that, among other elements, includes plans to privatize Medicare, then heard reaction to the plan from locals sitting around the diner table. Let's be clear about this. He spoke with only Democrat constituents. Republicans were not invited.
That is shameful! Rothman talks about the Republican budget plan, yet he left DC last October along with his fellow Democrats without addressing the 2010 budget! Fact NOT fiction.
If you want the government to take care of all your needs, move to Europe!
