Volunteer Musical Show at The Opportunity Center
Agape Road Show will perform Tuesday for the special needs individuals at the Opportunity Center.
The Agape Road Show, an intergenerational group of musicians, singers, actors, storytellers, and comedians that offers entertainment to residents in hospitals and nursing homes, will be performing a volunteer musical show at The Opportunity Center in Fair Lawn on Tuesday, July 24 at 1 p.m.
The Opportunity Center was founded in 1965 by parents and civic organizations dedicated to improving the lives of adults with mental and physical challenges. In 1975, it moved into a large house at 13-19 Fair Lawn Ave.
The non-profit Center, which is funded primarily by private donations, is open all year with the goal of providing a life-enriching day program for 25-to-35 young adult clients ages 21-and-up who have a broad range of disabilities including autism, mental disabilities, Down Syndrome and cerebral palsy.
The Center seeks to enhance the lives of its clients by encouraging their development as individuals, improving their self esteem and enriching their lives through recreation, vocational activities, social interaction, educational programs and daytrips.
For more information, visit the Center’s website or call 201-791-4040.
