Broadway Then and Now

OMG If you missed The Old Library's Production of "Broadway Then and Now," you missed a wonderful evening at the theater. Every song, every singer did a job. It was hard to believe that they were not professional entertainers. A big applause to Anthony Bevilacqua and the orchestra for doing a bang up job. I can't imagine the time and effort that went into learning the many numbers that they had to play. The cast did an outstanding job. It would be hard to chose whose performance stood out. However, if I were forced to choose... Michelle Stern stole Act 1 with her comedy song, as did Pearl Bandel Hart. Brenden Joel Bartlet did not scare me. He brought tears to my eyes with his rendition of Petrified. In Act Two, Emma Love's voice soared, Chris Traina made me smile, and both Cory Chichizola and Zack Aretakis touched my heart. Nicholas Riccardi was outstanding. Last but not least, congratulations to Craig Tiede for his writing and direction not to mention his stellaR performance. I wish they would think about having one more performance I would go again and this time bring several of my friends. Please think about it. It is a shame to have this show put on only once.

The most enjoyable theater experience of my LIFE! The songs I knew were sung and played like I've never heard before, and the songs that I didn't know are now on my favorites list. Outstanding cast, outstanding orchestra, Extremely funny and witty, and a great tribute to Elaine Stritch. Really looking foreward to the next one.

I agree, that is why I would have liked more performances so that friends that had not seen the one time performance could have had a chance to see it on another date
