Group founded by Westwood woman to collect signatures at Teaneck festival.
A group working to have Bergen County's Blue Laws eliminated through a voter referendum will collect signatures at Teaneck's Memorial Day festival on Cedar Lane. Westwood resident Rosemary Shashoua, the group's founder, said they have collected 575 signatures as of Sunday, NJ.com reported. It will take 2,500 signatures from registered Bergen County voters to get on the November ballot. According to the group's Facebook page, they hope to collect as many as 500 signatures at the Teaneck event. Group volunteers plan to setup outside 446 Cedar Lane. Inside Fair Lawn's Wayne Robbins attended the annual Fair Lawn High School Interact Club's Cut-a-Thon Sunday at Bellezza Salon in Glen Rock. Bellezza's hair stylists volunteered their time to offer hair and beauty services at discounted rates with all sales proceeds going to the family of Sigi Nissimov, the owner of Life Movement Dance Studio in Fair Lawn who died of cancer earlier this year, and the Fair Lawn ADA Committee. Hair stylists at Bellezza Salon in Glen Rock will volunteer their services Sunday as part of the Fair Lawn High School Interact Club's annual Cut-a-Thon.
The annual Fair Lawn High School Interact Club Cut-a-Thon will be held Sunday at Bellezza Salon in Glen Rock. Bellezza's hair stylists will be volunteering their time from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to offer men's and women's haircuts, blowouts, face-frame highlights and manicures at discounted rates with all sales proceeds going to two local causes. Proceeds from this year's Cut-a-Thon will benefit the family of Sigi Nissimov and the Fair Lawn ADA Committee. Nissimov, the owner of Life Movement Dance Studio in Fair Lawn, died of cancer earlier this year at the age of 43.
