All two Fair Lawn men wanted was to spend this coming New Years Day at Dayglow, the self-proclaimed “world’s largest paint party,” on New York’s Pier 94. But they were disappointed to discover the tickets they purchased from the same Craigslist vendor, each for $125, granted them access to last year’s venue. Both men, friends in their twenties, met the vendor at different locations to make the transaction, one in Glen Rock, the other in Rutherford. Fair Lawn police made two separate arrests within the past week at Pathmark on Maple Avenue, one for shoplifting and one for theft, according to reports from the police department. Police arrested Sean Tuttle, 21, of Glen Rock last Saturday and charged him with shoplifting after he allegedly concealed an apple and several cans of “beefaroni” under his clothing before leaving Pathmark, according to a police report. A patron of Retro Fitness told Fair Lawn police that someone took his cell phone from his jacket pocket while he was working out on Feb. 9, according to a police report. Officer Kenneth Cavanagh responded to the Pollitt Drive gym at 9:26 p.m. that night, police said. The jacket was left hanging on a hook unattended during the workout, the report said. Fair Lawn police arrested two individuals for concealing several containers of baby formula under their clothing prior to leaving ShopRite on River Road Sunday night, marking the second incidence of shoplifting at the supermarket within a week. Shannon Laforge, 30, of Fairfield and Thomas Diana, 27, of Maywood were transported to police headquarters and each charged with shoplifting, according to a police report. A man's cell phone was stolen from the cup holder of a treadmill he was using at Retro Fitness on Pollitt Drive Thursday night, according to an incident report from the Fair Lawn Police Department. At 8:29 p.m., Officer Louis Failla responded to the gym for a report of a theft, the report said. The victim said he left his cell phone and keys in the cup holder, walked away from the machine for a brief period of time, and upon his return found both the keys and cell phone missing, police said. A business manager at Glen Toyota of Fair Lawn told police on Saturday that an unknown person stole a passenger door off one of the Toyotas at the car dealership, according to an incident report from the Fair Lawn Police Department. The Fair Lawn Police Department has tracked down four wanted persons since Nov. 30, with the most recent arrest coming Sunday, according to incident reports. On Sunday at 8:27 p.m., Sgt. James Corcoran observed a white Jeep Cherokee parked on Heights Avenue occupied by a Seth Noah, 18, of Fair Lawn, a police report said. Corcoran recognized Noah and knew that he was wanted by the Hawthorne Police Department for an unanswered traffic violation, the report said. Fair Lawn police helped secure a stolen automobile for police in Suffern, NY. Officer Chris Siano was dispatched to the commuter parking lot at the Radburn train station last Thursday at 11:56 p.m. to look for a black Acura, according to a report from the Fair Lawn Police Department. Dispatcher Michael Van Ness, while processing the traffic tickets issued earlier that day, discovered that the Acura was issued a parking ticket and had been reported stolen in Suffern, NY, police said. A borough man has been charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of Xanax, aggravated assault on an officer, and resisting arrest after trying to evade officers Monday night, according to police. Damico of Elmwood Park, 23, is currently serving a 10-day prison sentence for shoplifting in Fair Lawn and is due to be released on Sunday, according to the Bergen County Jail's records department. The Fair Lawn Police Department encountered a pair of counterfeits last week–fake currency, and an alleged false cry for help. Police are investigating a report of a counterfeit $100 bill that may have originated from a bank in Fair Lawn, according to a police report. On Sept. 15, a victim claimed to cash a check at a Fair Lawn bank and then later went to a bank in Garfield to deposit the cash. The victim said the bill from the Fair Lawn bank was identified as counterfeit by the Garfield bank, police said. The bill was recorded into evidence in Garfield and federal agents will be …
