Gil Lainer, Counsel for Public Affairs, Consulate General of Israel: Will Israel Ever Win the Public Relations War?
Gil Lainer is the Consul for Public Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel in NY. Prior to his arrival in NY, Gil was a counselor in the Bureau for Middle East Economy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Jerusalem. He has also been posted to the Israeli Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria and the Israeli Consulate in San Francisco, and served as Shaliach for Montreal and eastern Canada.
Before beginning his diplomatic career, Gil worked as an account executive for a public relations firm, and was a reporter, producer, and editor at the Israeli radio station 103 FM Tel Aviv.
Gil holds a BA in Media Studies and Management from the School of Media Studies at the College of Management in Tel Aviv, and served in the military intelligence apparatus of the IDF.

Fair Lawn Jewish Center hosts a conservative congregation of more than 600 members. It offers egalitarian services, meaning that men and women participate equally in all aspects. The synagogue runs a religious school, a nursery school and a day camp. It also offers adult education, a men's club and a sisterhood program, and various social activities are organized. FLJC's facilities include a full-size gymnasium, a Judaica gift shop, a youth lounge, an arts and crafts room and meeting rooms of various sizes.
