 er:" Jerseymen in the Civil War\nMacculloch Hall Historical Museum colla
 borates with the New Jersey Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee in moun
 ting a major exhibit: &ldquo\;Gone for a Soldier:&rdquo\; Jerseymen in t
 he Civil War\," to run from November 6\, 2011 to July 1\, 2012.\n&nbsp\;
 \nThe exhibit will provide a unique perspective on the Civil War\, focus
 ing on New Jersey soldiers and their stories. Working in partnership\, t
 he two organizations are using their expertise and connections to privat
 e and institutional collections to bring together an unprecedented amoun
 t of memorabilia chronicling the experience of New Jersey and her soldie
 rs in the Civil War. Among the objects displayed will be rare Civil War 
 uniforms\, weapons\, equipment\, posters\, photographs\, drums\, and per
 sonal items loaned from private collectors\, historical societies\, and 
 museums in the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. &ldquo\;Many of these ite
 ms have never been on public display and certainly never as a comprehens
 ive exhibit of this scale. We expect this will be the largest grouping o
 f New Jersey Civil War material ever brought together\,&rdquo\; said Pau
 l Loane\, a member of the Sesquicentennial Committee.\n&nbsp\;\nMaccullo
 ch Hall Historical Museum provides an excellent backdrop to this exclusi
 ve showcase of New Jersey Civil War material. The Macculloch-Miller fami
 ly had strong military\, philanthropic and public service ties to New Je
 rsey. Lindley Hoffman Miller\, grandson of George and Louisa Macculloch 
 and son of U.S. Senator Jacob Miller\, was commissioned in 1863 as a cap
 tain in the First Regiment of Arkansas Volunteers of African Descent.&nb
 sp\; His wartime experience is told through his letters home\, now held 
 in the museum&rsquo\;s archives.\n&nbsp\;\nThe exhibit will open to the 
 general public on Sunday\, November 6\, 2011.&nbsp\; An exclusive evenin
 g preview of the exhibit and an opportunity to meet the experts behind i
 t takes place November 5. Tickets for the preview will be available\, at
  www.maccullochhall.org\, after September 19th. &nbsp\;The museum will o
 ffer lectures\, book signings\, and public programs to complement and en
 hance this major exhibit throughout the year.&nbsp\; An exhibition catal

 lloch Hall Historical Museum preserves the history of the Macculloch-Mil
 ler families\, the Morris area community\, and the legacy of its founder
  W. Parsons Todd through its historic site\, collections\, exhibits\, an
 d educational and cultural programs. It is located in the heart of Morri
 stown&rsquo\;s National Historic District. The Museum is open for house 
 and exhibit tours Wednesdays\, Thursdays &amp\; Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
  The last tickets for admission are sold at 3 p.m.&nbsp\; Admission is $
 6 Adults\; $5 Seniors &amp\; Students\; 12 years and under and museum me
