 ey need  to have in place as they age\, discussing and understanding the
 m can  ensure that events will go more smoothly for individuals and thei
 r loved  ones as they get older. For those who are younger\, understandi
 ng what  documents their parents should have in place can go a long way 
 toward  helping them to better prepare for difficult times.\nBeth Am Tem
 ple will host a workshop titled\, "Tips for Organizing the  Second Half 
 of Your Life" on Monday\, April 23rd at 7:30 PM. "While some  of the thi
 ngs we will cover appear to be 'end of life' issues\, they are  items th
 at everyone should have in place in case of an emergency\,"  stated Rabb
 i Daniel Pernick who will be one of the speakers during the  workshop.\n
 Mal Blotner\, member of the Beth Am Temple Adult Education Committee\,  
 will moderate the panel discussion which will include Attorney Alden  Wo
 lfe\, Social Worker Mimi Hoffman and Rabbi Daniel Pernick.\nTopics to be

 ick\nAlden Wolfe is an attorney in private practice in New City\, focusi
 ng  on estate planning\, probate and estate administration\, disability 
 and  guardianship law.\nSocial Worker Mimi Hoffman is a Licensed Master 
 Social Worker with 40  years of social work experience including both pe
 rsonal and  professional experience in dealing with the Seminar&rsquo\;s
  health care  issues.\nRabbi Daniel Pernick has served the congregation 
 at Beth Am Temple  since 1985. He holds a BA in Sociology and was ordain
 ed at the  Cincinnati campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of
  Religion  which honored him with a Doctor of Divinity degree in May\, 2
 007 for his  service as a Rabbi for 25 years.\nThe discussion is expecte
 d to last for 90 minutes including time for  questions and answers. Admi
 ssion is free with pre-registration by  calling 845-638-4393 and members
  and non-members are welcome. There will  be a $5.00 donation at the doo
 r for those who are NOT pre-registered.  The evening will conclude with 
 coffee and dessert.\nBeth Am Temple is located at 60 East Madison Avenue
