Traffic Issues on Fair Lawn Council Agenda Tuesday

The Fair Lawn Council meets at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building.

The Fair Lawn Council is scheduled to vote on two traffic-related issues during their meeting Tuesday night.

Officials are expected to vote to introduce a new ordinance related to the "traffic control signals" portion of the borough's "vehicles and traffic" ordinance. The change would ban "right on red" turns on Saddle River Road at the intersections of Fair Lawn Avenue and Dunkerhook Road.

The agenda also includes a resolution "urging Bergen County to make improvements at the intersection of Saddle River Road and Fair Lawn Avenue." The intersection includes three bus stops and there have been several accidents there, including one in late September.

The Fair Lawn Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers at the municipal building.
