KESSLER INSTITUTE FOR REHABILITATION TO HOST MEET THE AUTHOR AND BOOK SIGNING EVENT

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation (www.kessler-rehab.com) will host a free Meet the Author event featuring Anna Casamento Arrigo on Tuesday, April 15 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the Saddle Brook Campus, 300 Market Street, Saddle Brook, N.J. Ms. Casamento Arrigo, a former Kessler patient, will speak about her personal journey following a stroke, and will be signing copies of the three books she has written.

Ms. Casamento Arrigo, who was an elementary school teacher, was unable to return to the classroom after her stroke because of lingering difficulties with memory, balance and fatigue. She turned to writing as a means of expressing herself and has published a memoir, “Weeds beneath the Open Meadow;” a novel, “The Shadow’s Secrets;” and a children’s book, “Hunter Learns about Honesty,” which is the first in a series for young readers.  The second book, “Hunter Learns about Diversity,” will be published later this year, along with a rhyming book titled “Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,” and a book of poetry.

“There is so much we have yet to learn, and I’d like to take others along with me toward that end,” she has said about her passion for both writing and education.
