Arts Council Holding 'Day in The Life of Fair Lawn' Photo Expo

Fair Lawn residents are invited to take photos during the week of September 8 to be displayed around town.

The newly-formed Fair Lawn Arts Council's first event is coming up September 8, and all borough residents are being invited to participate.

The "day in the life of Fair Lawn" photo expo will include photos taken around town between September 8 and 14.

“The idea is to bring all Fair Lawn residents together to work on different kinds of art projects that are going to be free or minimal cost to the resident,” Arts Council founder Jane Spindel previously said. “You don’t have to have any talent, you don’t have to be artistic, just the willingness to participate in whatever we do.”

Spindel said she hoped to get thousands of entries. Once they're all in, the Arts Council will start displaying the photos around town in locations like the library and Fair Lawn Community Center, as well as empty store windows, with landlords' permission.

When the event begins — only photos taken the week of September 8 are allowed — residents who want to participate can email their photos to flartscouncil@gmail.com.
