Broadway Star Named President of Fair Lawn Theatre Company

The Skyline Theatre Company, which is based in the Fair Lawn Community Center's George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation, recently named Michele McConnell as the president of its board of trustees.

McConnell has been acting in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway since 2010 and starring in the show as Carlotta since 2011. She has also been a member of the Skyline board of trustees since 2008 and has worked in every area of the company.

McConnell has traveled to 115 countries while performing on cruise ships and her resume includes musical theatre, opera, concert performance, cabaret, professional chorus and touring productions.

She is also a member of the Actors Equity Association and an adjunct faculty member in the Musical Theatre department at New Jersey City University. She has lived in the state for about 17 years.
