Register For Preschool Programs at the Fair Lawn Library

The Fair Lawn Library is offering storytime programs this winter and spring.

The Fair Lawn Library will open registration for winter/spring storytime programs Dec. 15.

The programs, with descriptions provided by the library, include:

  • Mother Goose Time Ages 0-2

For our youngest patrons and their caregivers we offer Mother Goose Time, a program consisting of 15 minutes of circle time, a simple story and 30 minutes of open play. It will be held on Monday and Thursday mornings from 10:15 to 11 a.m.

  • Book Buddies Ages 2 & 3

Book Buddies involves simple stories, songs and finger-plays for children with a grown-up partner. Days and times are Tuesdays 11:30 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

  • Story Time Ages 3-5

Story Time is a program designed to instill a life-long love of literature in Fair Lawn’s youth. Both classic stories and new favorites will be shared with related finger-plays and songs in this half-hour program for children only. Days and times are Mondays 6:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesdays 10:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesdays 1:30 to 2 p.m., and Wednesdays 4:15 to 4:45 p.m.

  • Family Story Time Ages 2-5

Miss the registration date or unable to commit to a weekly program? This family drop-in story time will be offered for preschool children and their caregivers on Wednesdays 6:30 to 7 p.m. and Fridays 10:30 to 11 a.m. This is the only preschool program that does not require registration. Exact dates will be available at the library or on www.fairlawnlibrary.org after January 1.

The programs are open to Fair Lawn residents who meet the age range as of February. The deadline to register is January 15.
