Panera Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Ribbon Bagels

The cherry vanilla bagel will be sold at the Fair Lawn Panera Bread all month.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Panera Bread in the Radburn is helping raise money throughout the month for the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

Panera is selling the "Pink Ribbon Bagels" throughout the month of October, with 10 cents from every bagel sold going to the CINJ, according to a release from the eatery.

On Wednesday, Oct. 10, 100 percent of proceeds from the sale of the Pink Ribbon Bagel will be donated to the CINJ.

All 41 Panera locations in Northern and Central New Jersey participate in the annual fundraiser, which has raised over $40,000 for CINJ over the past six years, according to the release.

“The Pink Ribbon bagel is the one bagel that our customers ask about all year long," Panera Director of Operations, Robert MacEachern said in the release. "They enjoy the taste of the cherry vanilla bagel, but most important -- they enjoy knowing that a portion of the money they spend is going to support such a vital cause."
