Chamber of Commerce Holding Golf Outing August 15

The Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce is seeking sponsors for the event.

The Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce will hold its 22nd annual golf outing next month.

The event, which will be held August 15 at the Knoll Country Club's West Course in Parsippany, is the chamber's largest event of the year, according to Executive Director Hank Pawski.

The event includes lunch, a game of golf, cocktails and dinner. There will be prizes given for feats like low scores, longest drive, etc. Glen Motors is also sponsoring a hole-in-one contest with a free car going to anyone who pulls it off.

"It's always a fun day," Pawski said.

Participation costs $165. Money raised by this year's event will go toward the Fair Lawn High School Scholarship Fund, which awards three $1,000 scholarships each year, and the Fair Lawn Opportunity Center, a non-profit which helps people with a wide range of disabilities, among other organizations. Past golf outings have supported a wide range of causes including veterans, the Fair Lawn Historic Preservation Committee, the Food Pantry and Community Center.

The chamber is also still seeking sponsors for the event. For more info about sponsorship, or to sign up, contact the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce at info@fairlawnchamber.org or call (201) 796-7050.
