Foot Gear Galore Offers Custom Sneakers in Fair Lawn

A new River Road store owned by a Fair Lawn family held their grand opening Monday.

Foot Gear Galore, located at 12-48 River Road, offers the latest styles in popular sneakers and provides unique custom designs and personalizations like adding an athlete's name and number to their cleats, according to Yovanna Corporan.

Opening the store in Fair Lawn was an easy choice for the Corporans, who moved here from the city in 1994. Yovanna said that she remembered obsessing over the latest sneakers at that time, and now she's raising her own kids — who also have recently become fans of fashionable sneakers — in the borough.

"I love that my kids are growing up here," she said.

The grand opening shows that the efforts of the River Road Improvement Corporation have been working, Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce President Mitch Palin said.

"It's always great to see new businesses opening up in town," he said.

As a special promotion, the store will be offering free personalizations for customers on Saturday, September 14. They are also currently holding a 10 percent off sale on everything in the store.
