New Boutique Brings SoHo Feel to River Road

A new River Road boutique opened by a Fair Lawn resident seeks to bring local shoppers a taste of modern New York City fashion.

Jeimy Perez opened Fashion Affair Boutique at 12-54 River Road August 24. The store carries unique women's apparel, jewelry and handbags that otherwise would be hard to find in the area. 

"I wanted it to feel like if you had your own walk-in closet," Perez said. "This is how you would want it to look."

Opening a shop has always been a goal for Perez, who previously worked retail jobs and started a business with her sister selling jewelry online two years ago. As a Fair Lawn resident who lives near and frequents other businesses in the River Road District, it just made sense to open up there.

"Our town needed this, a local place where you can go for something to wear to a wedding, a meeting at work, anything," she said.

Fashion Affair Boutique is open Monday to Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. 

They offer a 10 percent discount to Fair lawn residents and 20 percent for teachers, with I.D.
