Could Fracking Produce Natural Gas in Fair Lawn? And Make Us All Rich?

The answer is "yes" according to a story today on northjersey.com. Fair Lawn is part of the Newark Basin which has one trillion cubic feet of natural gas about a hundred feet below the surface. The shale that produces the gas comes from underground lakes and rivers. There is an underground river running from under the industrial park to under the train station to under Daily Field to under Sasso football field. It is probably loaded with natural gas.

The argument against fracking comes from the cases where it polluted underground drinking water. But studies have shown that when fracking is done right, this does not occur. It is only when the marginal companies go "cheap" that you get problems, which is true in any field, take eye laser surgery for example.
