Chamber Donates to Three Local Organizations

The Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce donated $2,000 to three local Fair Lawn organizations at its Tuesday luncheon.

The Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce made sizable donations to three local organizations Tuesday during its monthly meeting at the American Legion on River Road.

The Fair Lawn Fire Department, Fair Lawn Community Center and Fair Lawn ADA Committee each received checks for $2,000 — the proceeds from this year's Chamber golf outing.

Chamber president Mary Marrara said it's difficult to select donation recipients with so many deserving organizations in town, but that this year the Chamber's executive board specifically chose to support the fire department in commemoration of its 100th anniversary and the ADA Committee as it raises funds to build a barrier free playground at Berdan Grove.
