  • Monday, Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve) -- 
  1. Both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook public schools are closed for winter recess
  • Tuesday, Jan. 1 (New Year's Day) -- 
  1. Saddle Brook will holds its Sine Die meeting at 11:45 a.m. at the Saddle Brook Senior Center, located at 8 Caldwell Ave. Immediately following the Sine Die, the council re-organization will be held. Joseph Camilleri is the only new council member. He'll replace Joseph Setticase, who decided not to run for reelection.
  2. Fair Lawn borough offices, the recycling center and the community center are closed for the holiday. Garbage pickup moves to Wednesday and recycling moves to Thursday.
  3. Both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook public schools are closed for winter recess
  • Wednesday, Jan. 2  - 
  1. Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook schools reopen following winter recess.
  • Thursday, Jan. 3 - 
  1. The Patch Pick 'Em, our weekly NFL Football picks column, continues Thursday with the Wildcard week of the playoffs.
  2. Fair Lawn Board of Education will hold its re-organization meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Edison School, Room 19. New school board members Jeffrey Klein and Mark Spindel will be sworn in, replacing Josh Gillenson and Ron Barbarulo.
  3. The Fair Lawn council will holds its re-organization meeting at 7:30 p.m. at borough hall. John Cosgrove will be sworn in as the new mayor of Fair Lawn.
  • Friday, Jan. 4 
  1. The Fair Lawn Americans with Disabilities Act Committee will hold a dance for adults with special needs at 7 p.m. in the community center gymnasium.
  • Saturday, Jan. 5 -  
  1. The first Hurdy Gurdy Concert of the year kicks off at the community center with a show by Vickie Russell and Loretta Hagen. Tickets are $20.
  • Sunday, Jan. 6 - 

 

  1. Performers from the Northwest Bergen Regional Senior Center of Midland Park present the 23rd Annual Interstate Tap Show at the Community Center. Show starts at 1 p.m. Suggested donation is $5.
