Hurricane Force Winds Expected to Reach Fair Lawn-Saddle Brook Around 3 p.m.

Deputy Emergency Managment Coordinator Wendy Demeraski said the borough is expecting winds in town to reach hurricane level around 3 p.m. and remain that way for about 12 hours.

Between 5,000 and 10,000 homes are without power in Fair Lawn, according to PSE&G's outage maps.

Schools are closed for the rest of the week in Fair Lawn, and on Thursday in Saddle Brook due to outages and safety concerns.

Picnic the Restaurant, located in the Radburn Plaza building, has been serving up affordable comfort food and letting customers recharge phones and computers this week.
