Saddle Brook officials have been preparing for the storm much like they did last year for Hurricane Irene.

The superintendents in each district have cancelled school on Monday and Tuesday due to the threat of Hurricane Sandy.

Deputy Emergency Managment Coordinator Wendy Demeraski said the borough is expecting winds in town to reach hurricane level around 3 p.m. and remain that way for about 12 hours.
