National Library Week

National Library Week is April 13-19.  The Maurice M. Pine Free Public Library in
Fair Lawn will be celebrating by offering a “Blind Date with a Book” for adults and teens and a “Play Date with a Book” for children
and families.  Are you ready to discover a
new adventure in reading?  Come to the
library and choose an unidentified book covered in plain, brown paper.  Discover an author or genre you may be
unfamiliar with.  You never know what
treasures await under the plain, brown wrapping.

Adult and teen books will be available on Level
C.  They will be accompanied by a review
slip, so you can “rate your date” as a success or failure and report if your
willingness to try for a “second date” with this author or genre.  Children’s books will be available on Level
A.  Intended audience will be indicated
on the cover.  All adventurous (and
unadventurous) readers are invited to stop by the library and give something
new a try.  The only cost is your library
card and open mind.  Even though National
Library Week is only a week long, we will keep the books on display from April
13 through the end of the month.
