Milnes School Wins Environmental Grant
The Bergen County Utilities Authority awards the grants to local schools to promote environmental awareness.
Henry B. Milnes Elementary School was recently awarded a grant from the Bergen County Utilities Authority as part of an annual "environmental challenge."
The BCUA awards the grants each year to schools around the county to support programs promoting environmental awareness. They awarded more than $60,000 to 64 schools this year.
Milnes School officials will use the grant to continue their efforts to add more recycling receptacles inside and outside the school, according to Principal Joseph Fulco. The initiative is led by second-grade teacher Pat Ward.
