F.L DPW Obstructs School Crossing

Just curious...are we paying these plow drivers or are they volunteers....? After clearing the school crosswalk for the millionth time this winter (like everyone else) one of Fairlawn's plows once again  closed it off with a huge pile of ice/snow. This time my son and our neighbour were still outside shovelling.They asked the driver to kindly push the snow unto only one side to allow an open path for the school kids. The reply was 'listen man, I gotta go shovel my own driveway after this'.  While it is understandable that our driveways get plowed in again and again it is totally unacceptable that town employees barricade the crosswalks-especially across the street from a school. We watched this young man bring a load of snow from the avenue right unto what had been a cleared corner---several times! The plow could very simply push the snow further down unto the sidewalk. We have cleared that area a multitude of times. There is something wrong when town employees are this disinterested in the consequences of their actions---after all it is their JOB--- if any one of them feels he has too much to do 'at home' , there are many who would be happy to take his place.
