8.  River Edge Road Rally

Why Go: Enjoy competing in one of several Rally Tour Routes carefully planned through Bergen County

Why Go: Learn how to bake your favorite fall treats.

14.  Pick Your Own Apples
Where/When
: Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Demarest Farms, 244 Wierimus Rd., Hillsdale
Why Go: Enjoy a day of picking New Jersey apples.  While visiting the farm don’t forget to check out the country bakery and delicatessen.
Pricing: $5.00 per person for admission which includes the hay ride. $8.00 per bag of apples picked. Each bag holds 12 to 15 lbs.

15. Pirates of Penzance 
Where/When: Friday 7:30 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.; Fair Lawn Community Center, 10-10 20th Street, Fair Lawn
Why Go:  This witty play is a fundraising benefit by Skyline Theatre and a musical treat for both young and old.
