7-Car Crash Caused by Black Ice

The pile-up occurred on Route 4 Sunday night.

Seven vehicles, including a Bergen County Police car, were involved in a crash on Route 4 in Fair Lawn Sunday night, NBC New York reported.

The crash was caused by black ice on the road, with the first car flipping onto its side according to the report. A Bergen County Police officer arrived at the scene to help, but then also slid on the ice and crashed. Another car belonging to a driver who stopped to help was hit as four more cars slid on the ice.

There were no serious injuries.
