Man Arrested With 124 Bags of Heroin, Police Say

Fair Lawn Police arrested the alleged drug dealer in the parking lot of the River Road CVS Friday night.

Fair Lawn Police arrested an alleged drug dealer from Pennsylvania after officers said they saw the man toss evidence of recent drug use out of his car, according to Sgt. Brian Metzler.

Detective Paul Donohue, Detective Peter Yuskaitis and Detective Sgt. Tim O’Shaughnessy arrested James Snyder, of Carbondale, P.A., after they allegedly found a needle, four OxyContin pills and 124 bags of heroin in Snyder's car, which was parked at the River Road CVS, according to Metzler.

Snyder was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous  substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a hypodermic needle for no medical purpose, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of controlled dangerous substance and intent to distribute controlled dangerous substance within a school zone because of his proximity to the school bus depot at 18-02 River Road.

He was held at Bergen County Jail with bail set at $20,000 with a 10 percent option.
