Unidentified Body Found in Hudson May Be 8th Suicide Jumper This Year

Body was found in the river near the George Washington Bridge Wednesday, report says.

Authorities recovered an unidentified body from the Hudson River near the George Washington Bridge, nj.com reported.

According to the report, a contractor working on the bridge saw the body and reported it to police at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. The body is described as a white man between his 40s and 50s, the report said.

Last Thursday, witnesses reportedly saw a man park his car and jump from the bridge. He jumped around the same time as a fatal tractor trailer accident on the bridge last week, the report said. His body has not yet been recovered, the report said.

Authorities are not yet sure if the body found is that man, the report said.

According to nj.com, Thursday's jumper marks at least eight people this year who have died after jumping off the bridge. At least 20 jumping suicides have been prevented by the Port Authority Police this year, the report said.

The man is either in his "40's" or his "50's" not both.

Sounds like a lot of attempts and completions----maybe it's time to think of a physical barrier or leave that construction net up full time.

It sounds like there needs to be more done to treat the mental conditions causing people to think that there is no alternative but to end their life.

Sounds like the body is a man who appears to be between 40 to 50 years old but as yet is unidentified and the author failed English Composition, then again nowadays they probably don't have such courses.
