'Wacky' Teen Threatened to Blow Up Own House after Eating Hash Brownie, Cops Say

Written by Megan Merrigan

A Fair Lawn teenager was arrested early Saturday morning after cops say she called 911 to tell them she was high off of a hash brownie and wanted to blow up her own house.

The 18-year-old woman called 911 from her home around 2:30 a.m. and was acting “all over the place,” according to Detective Sgt. Brian Metzler.

Officers dispatched to her house say the teenager told cops she wanted to go to another planet, according to Metzler.

“She was yelling, singing and not making any sense,” Metzler said of the rowdy teen, who he claimed was not compliant with the officers who responded to her call.

The 18-year-old woman was not seeking medical attention, but was eventually taken to Valley Hospital to be treated, though Metzler is unsure for what she was treated.

“It was just really wacky,” Metzler said of the situation.

The teen was charged with being under the influence of a controlled and dangerous substance.
