Council Honors Girl Scouts, Boys Volleyball Team

Recognition for Gold Award winners, state champions

The continued an offseason full of recognition at Tuesday night's Borough Council meeting—but this time shared the spotlight.

Previously and , the Cutters received more certificates for their 37-2 season that ended in a state title against Southern, New Jersey's two-time defending champion.

Nicole Pachner, Jennifer Stefanik and Megan Rodriguez were also recognized at the meeting for earning the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award. Pachner set up a display to honor fallen soldiers, ran programs at the nursing home, and created a website to show the history of Fair Lawn through the ages. Stefanik raised awareness about how girls can stay healthy by playing sports, and Rodriguez developed self-defense classes at Thomas Edison School.
