Fair Lawn Holds Sept. 11 Memorial Ceremony

Wednesday marks the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Fair Lawn residents gathered at the Sept. 11 Remembrance Memorial Wall outside the borough municipal building Tuesday evening.

The ceremony was dedicated to the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks, all four Fair Lawn residents who have been killed by terrorist attacks, emergency responders and military personnel who have combated terrorism.

"It was a day that all of us will never forget, and it has changed our lives forever," Mayor John Cosgrove said.

Fair Lawn residents Susan Huie, Richard Rosenthal and Jennifer Kane were killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Another borough resident, Frank Connor, was killed in the 1975 Fraunces Tavern bombing.
